Purvanchal univ, Petrasys Global ink pact to guide students on industry trends – Times of India

Varanasi: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, and Petrasys Global Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, on Monday, to help students meet the industry expectations in the field of optical fibre and photonics technology. Vice-chancellor Prof Nirmala S Maurya and managing director, Petrasys Global Pvt Ltd, Philip B Cassy signed the MoU.
“The tie-up will prepare our students for industry. This company will continue to guide our students on industrial trends. The objective is to enhance the standards of relevance, quality, suitability and delivery of existing skills of students to meet the industry expectations in the field of optical fibre and photonics technology. This organisation will collaborate with various faculties of the university to design and execute a joint certified programme,” the VC said.
MD, Petrasys Global Pvt Ltd, Philip B Kassey said: “Nothing is impossible if you have vision. Our organization will provide help to students in the field of technology and make them self-reliant for employment.”
Registrar Mahendra Kumar said, “Our students should become self-reliant through startup MoU and research and development.” Dean of the Institute of Engineering Prof BB Tiwari gave the outline of MoU and its importance while nodal officer Dr Manoj Kumar Pandey conducted the proceedings.
