Former WWE star Santino Marella made his debut as the new Director of Authority on Friday night’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view. He’s been making sporadic appearances on Impact since 2017, but this is the first time he’s really had a consistent role as the company’s authority figure.

After nearly a decade with WWE, former World Champion and commentator Tom Hannifan has joined Impact as their lead commentator. He told Digital Spy that he’s ‘feeling so fulfilled’ personally and professionally since joining the company.

Impact has done a great job of utilizing the revolving door of free agent talent that they’ve brought in over the past few years. This allows them to maximize their talent on a limited budget compared to companies like WWE and AEW, which usually result in short-term runs for those new wrestlers.

While many fans have doubts about the current Impact roster, it’s clear that there is a lot to like about the company. From the cinematic content of Violent By Design to Josh Alexander’s hour-long matches and the Knockouts Division, IMPACT offers something for everyone.

Despite these good things, there have also been a lot of bouts that haven’t been very well put together. Some of these bouts have had at least one redeeming quality, but others completely disrespected their audience and insulted their intelligence.
