A judge, meanwhile, acquitted New York Times correspondent Barry Bearak and British journalist Stephen Bevan of covering the March 29 election illegally.

ashington - The United States voiced concern on Wednesday over the continued deadlock in negotiations to form a unity government in Zimbabwe and put the blame squarely on Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe.

State Department spokesperson Sean McCormack said the United States "regrets that the six-week impasse over implementation of the September 15 power-sharing agreement for Zimbabwe was not resolved" at talks on Monday in Harare.
