Andriata Chironda
I t is not every day that you see a historian and aspiring professor taking part in beauty contest. On October 31, 27-year-old Andriata Chironda will take to the ramp in search of an uncharacteristic non-academic laurel. She is the Zimbabwean representative at Miss AfriCanada, an annual event described by the organisers as the “African Heritage Pageant”.
“It’s an important platform because I want to reach out to a different audience.” says Chironda.
Chironda, who lives in Toronto, holds Bachelor of Arts Honours degree (University of Toronto, 2007) with a double major in Diaspora and Transnational Studies and History, with a minor in African Studies. She also holds a Masters in History degree with a specialization in Ethnic, Immigration and Pluralism Studies (University of Toronto, 2009).
The Seke-born professorial aspirant has her heart bent on showing the world that Zimbabwe is a greater country than portrayed in various media.
“There is more to Zimbabwe than trillions of dollar notes…there is more to Zimbabwe than Robert Mugabe…there is much more to us… I would like to show a positive Zimbabwe and show them we have a rich cultural heritage.”
CDE aka the air Kommander AKA Dj Komrade, is back online, check this space for a scheduled shows. Dj Koomrade hase been with Thazonet Radio for the past 4 years. He enjoys playing Zimbabwean music and discussing issues affecting Zimbabwean families.

Like promised ealier, I have posted the Mare video clips. Judge for yourself.
I am still working on the Chat plugin. I will set up some blogs today one is already up http://bonde.thazonet.com blog for one of the founders of thazonet keith Kadete AKA DJ Bonde. he will be posting his journey through the entertainment industry.
I have also been on facebook, Cythia Mare is doing big things and has produced a couple of songs that I personally think will be a success. I will try later to post a video of one of the tracks later.
I will be working on the Chat and registration system. I hope its going to be a Productive day.
Yesterday I spent sometime on Jusa’s usastream.tv channel where he was hanging out with Roki, Discord, Ramrez, some guys i dont know thier names, but it was kool, seeeing the guys having fun.
Rocqui , Snyper Storm, Jusa, Lady 2 G, Cythia Mare just to name a few were in Luton S.A.M.A awards. According to all the posts and and images I have seen on facebook,, its seems to have been a succesful event.
